Information Technology shares rise

Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 160.5 points or 1.05% at 15472.88 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Sonata Software Ltd (up 3.38%), HCL Technologies Ltd (up 2.86%),Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 2.85%),Cyient Ltd (up 1.58%),Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (up 1.25%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Hexaware Technologies Ltd (up 1.22%), 63 Moons Technologies Ltd (up 1.18%), NIIT Technologies Ltd (up 1.13%), Infosys Ltd (up 0.97%), and Mastek Ltd (up 0.83%).

On the other hand, TVS Electronics Ltd (down 4.38%), Intellect Design Arena Ltd (down 3.75%), and Aptech Ltd (down 2.7%) moved lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 276.92 or 0.71% at 38545.65.

The Nifty 50 index was down 89.05 points or 0.77% at 11423.35.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 117.21 points or 0.88% at 13214.72.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 42.5 points or 0.95% at 4441.9.

On BSE,503 shares were trading in green, 1024 were trading in red and 83 were unchanged.
