KSK Energy Ventures drops after bulk deal

KSK Energy Ventures lost 5.93% at Rs 63.50 at 15:14 IST on BSE, after 0.3% equity changed hands in a bulk deal on BSE today, 2 January 2014.

A bulk deal of 11.33 lakh shares was struck on KSK Energy Ventures counter at Rs 63 per share at 14:37 IST on BSE today, 2 January 2014.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 219.79 points, or 1.04%, to 20,920.69

Bulk deal boosted volume on the scrip. On BSE, so far 11.43 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 1.82 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

 

The stock hit a high of Rs 67 and low of Rs 63 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 41.40 on 28 March 2013. It had hit a 52-week high of Rs 70.20 on 10 January 2013.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 1 January 2014, rising 11.57% compared with the Sensex's 1.68% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, surging 33.4% as against Sensex's 8.32% rise.

The small-cap firm has an equity capital of Rs 372.63 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

On a consolidated basis, KSK Energy Ventures reported net loss of Rs 31.93 crore in Q2 September 2013 as compared to net profit of Rs 54.42 crore in Q2 September 2012. Net sales fell 19.3% to Rs 453.72 crore in Q2 September 2013 over Q2 September 2012.
