The Japanese share market closed down on Monday, 16 November 2015, as investors gravitated toward risk aversion mode in the wake of terror attacks in Paris over the weekend and as Japan's gross domestic product, or GDP, contracted in the third quarter. The day's notable decliners comprised utilities, civil aviation, retailer, insurance and electric appliance Metal issues, while oil & coal products and mining issues were among major gainers. The Nikkei Stock Average was 203.22 points, or 1.04%, to end at 19393.69 points. The broader Topix index has lost 0.9%, or 14.30 points, to 1571.53 at the close.
