Power Grid to acquire balance 74% stake in JV Jaypee PowerGrid

For consideration of Rs 351.64 crore

Power Grid Corporation of India has signed a share purchase agreement with Jaiprakash Power Ventures (JPVL) on 19 March 2021 for acquisition of 74% stake of JPVL in Jaypee PowerGrid at an aggregate consideration of Rs 351.64 crore.

On completion of the transaction, JPL will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid.
