Quick Wrap: Nifty Auto Index falls 2.15%, NIFTY Tumbles 1.01%

Nifty Auto index ended down 2.15% at 7207.95 today. The index has slipped 13.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd shed 4.75%, Apollo Tyres Ltd dropped 3.69% and Bosch Ltd slipped 3.67%. The Nifty Auto index has fallen 14.00% over last one year compared to the 7.78% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has dropped 1.86% and Nifty Energy index has dropped 1.84% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 1.01% to close at 11678.5 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.97% to close at 39888.96 today.
