Quick Wrap: Nifty Auto Index gains 4.29%, NIFTY jumps 1.37%

Nifty Auto index closed up 4.29% at 8449.75 today. The index has gained 12.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Tata Motors Ltd added 16.76%, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd gained 8.78% and Bosch Ltd jumped 6.60%. The Nifty Auto index has fallen 3.00% over last one year compared to the 14.98% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index gained 3.98% and Nifty Commodities index added 1.56% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 1.37% to close at 11786.85 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 1.48% to close at 39831.84 today.
