Quick Wrap: Nifty Financial Services Index declines 7.42%, NIFTY Tumbles 4.38%

Nifty Financial Services index ended down 7.42% at 9030.65 today. The index is down 33.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd slipped 15.97%, Bajaj Finance Ltd shed 11.81% and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd fell 11.13%. The Nifty Financial Services index is down 28.00% over last one year compared to the 28.76% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index is down 7.27% and Nifty Private Bank index is down 6.04% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 4.38% to close at 8281.1 while the SENSEX is down 4.61% to close at 28440.32 today.
