Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index declines 2.30%, NIFTY Tumbles 1.81%

Nifty IT index ended down 2.30% at 14207.85 today. The index is up 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Wipro Ltd slipped 3.35%, Infosys Ltd fell 3.13% and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd shed 2.98%. The Nifty IT index is up 25.00% over last one year compared to the 3.00% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Consumption index is down 2.06% and Nifty Realty index is down 1.99% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 1.81% to close at 10754 while the SENSEX is down 1.89% to close at 35742.07 today.
