Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index falls 3.98%

Nifty Media index closed down 3.98% at 2492.6 today. The index has gained 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd dropped 7.80%, Dish TV India Ltd slipped 2.52% and Sun TV Network Ltd added 2.52%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 26.00% over last one year compared to the 5.00% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index gained 1.26% and Nifty Infrastructure index added 1.15% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.19% to close at 10908.7 while the SENSEX increased 0.21% to close at 36347.08 today.
