Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index gains 1.46%

Nifty Media index ended up 1.46% at 2162 today. The index has gained 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd rose 4.85%, Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd slipped 2.92% and Saregama India Ltd added 1.56%. The Nifty Media index has soared 30.00% over last one year compared to the 1.51% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index has dropped 1.15% and Nifty Pharma index added 0.78% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.18% to close at 17624.4 while the SENSEX has slid 0.28% to close at 59028.91 today.
