Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index records a surge of 2.10%

Nifty Pharma index ended up 2.10% at 8086.55 today. The index has added 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Cipla Ltd jumped 5.26%, Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd gained 4.19% and Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd added 3.02%. The Nifty Pharma index has decreased 11.00% over last one year compared to the 2.40% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index has slid 1.83% and Nifty Media index has slid 1.82% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.46% to close at 11251 while the SENSEX has declined 0.55% to close at 38409.48 today.
