Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index rises 3.08%, NIFTY jumps 1.10%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 3.08% at 12750.7 today. The index is down 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Cipla Ltd gained 5.40%, Lupin Ltd rose 4.68% and Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd added 4.24%. The Nifty Pharma index is down 10.00% over last one year compared to the 2.41% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index added 1.67% and Nifty Auto index added 1.66% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 1.10% to close at 17816.25 while the SENSEX added 0.98% to close at 59719.74 today.
