Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 1.80%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 1.80% at 3050.3 today. The index has gained 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Central Bank of India added 3.47%, State Bank of India fell 2.21% and Canara Bank slipped 2.11%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 19.00% over last one year compared to the 4.86% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index has dropped 1.04% and Nifty MNC index has slid 0.89% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.14% to close at 10951.7 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.14% to close at 36431.67 today.
