Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 2.66%, NIFTY Crashes 1.10%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 2.66% at 2848.9 today. The index has gained 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Canara Bank dropped 3.88%, Bank of Baroda fell 2.87% and Central Bank of India slipped 2.72%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has soared 22.00% over last one year compared to the 7.18% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has dropped 1.95% and Nifty Private Bank index has dropped 1.84% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 1.10% to close at 17758.45 while the SENSEX has slid 1.08% to close at 59646.15 today.
