Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index declines 1.80%

Nifty Realty index ended down 1.80% at 272.85 today. The index is up 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Housing Development & Infrastructure Ltd slipped 4.85%, Unitech Ltd fell 4.65% and DLF Ltd dropped 3.10%. The Nifty Realty index is up 2.00% over last one year compared to the 18.62% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index added 1.54% and Nifty Media index added 1.22% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.17% to close at 11570.9 while the SENSEX added 0.02% to close at 38285.75 today.
