Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index registers a drop of 7.87%, NIFTY Crashes 2.51%

Nifty Realty index closed down 7.87% at 305 today. The index has added 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, DLF Ltd fell 12.11%, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd slipped 9.04% and Godrej Properties Ltd shed 8.37%. The Nifty Realty index has increased 33.00% over last one year compared to the 7.67% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index has slid 4.33% and Nifty Financial Services index has slid 3.90% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 2.51% to close at 11661.85 while the SENSEX has declined 2.43% to close at 39735.53 today.
