Shanghai Composite bounces 0.49%

Mainland China share market closed higher in volatile trade on Wednesday, 17 September 2014, on reports the central bank has injected cash into the country's biggest lenders, in a move to bolster the economy and calm fears that growth is slowing more than expected. The benchmark Shanghai Composite rose 11.34 points, or 0.49%, to finish at 2307.89.
