Tata Global Beverages announced the appointment of Sunil Alaric D'Souza as managing director (MD) & chief executive officer (CEO) of the company.
Sunil D'Souza assumed the position with effect from 4 April 2020, subsequent to the retirement of Ajoy Misra, who was the MD & CEO of the company.Sunil D'Souza, an engineering graduate and an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C), brings in nearly three decades of experience working with some of the marquee brands in the country.
Tata Consumer Products was formed in February 2020 following the merger of Tata Global Beverages (TGBL) and the consumer products business of Tata Chemicals (TCL). It is is a focused consumer products company uniting the principal food and beverage interests of the Tata Group under one umbrella. The company's portfolio of products includes tea, coffee, water, salt, pulses, spices, and ready-to-eat offerings.
Shares of Tata Consumer Products dropped 4.60% to Rs 267.25 on Friday, 3 April 2020.
