IIFL Holdings clocked volume of 8.19 lakh shares by 13:31 IST on BSE, a 50.36 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 16,000 shares. The stock jumped 10.43% at Rs 207.60. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 225.60 in intraday trade today, 14 July 2015. Fairfax India announced an open offer to purchase about 8.31 crore shares, or 26% stake, of IIFL Holdings at Rs 195 per share from the open market for a total Rs 1621 crore, according to a stock exchange statement. The purchase will be made through Fairfax's unit FIH Mauritius Investments. The announcement was made before trading hours today, 14 July 2015.
Phoenix Mills notched up volume of 2.14 lakh shares, a 34.85-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6,000 shares. The stock rose 0.19% at Rs 362.
Castex Technologies saw volume of 24.09 lakh shares, a 18.21-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.32 lakh shares. The stock was locked at 5% lower circuit at Rs 343.80 after 2.44 crore equity shares of the company were admitted for trading today, 14 July 2015, upon conversion of foreign currency convertible bonds.
NIIT Technologies clocked volume of 1.47 lakh shares, a 13.31-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock surged 7.46% at Rs 448.45.
Jubilant FoodWorks saw volume of 1.57 lakh shares, a 12.44-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock fell 0.24% at Rs 1,870.
