35 yoga asanas in 35 minutes

Participants performed 35 yoga asanas in 35 minutes at a session here at Rajpath on Sunday to mark the International Yoga Day, officials said.

The yoga session included exercises, pranayam (a breathing technique) and mediation lasted about 35 minutes, according to yoga protocol finalsed by the Ayush ministry.

The mass yoga event began with a prayer and body loosening exercises.

Among the asanas performed were tadasana (palm tree posture), vakrasana (tree posture), bhadrasana (firm posture) and bhujangasana (cobra posture).
