AI deploys Boeing 777 on Delhi-Chennai sector

National passenger carrier Air India on Monday said it has begun to operate wide body Boeing-777 aircraft on the Delhi-Chennai-Delhi sector to meet a surge in demand of holiday travellers.
"Effective from today, the flight will fulfil the increasing demand of passengers travelling on this sector," the airline said in a statement.
The statement added that the 342-seater wide body aircraft offers a three-class configuration, comprising of four first class, 35 business class and 303 economy class seats, including increased space for cargo and baggage.
