Badminton: Prannoy, Pranaav-Sikki lose in Swiss Open quarters

India's H.S. Prannoy and the mixed doubles pair of Pranaav Jerry Chopra and N. Sikki Reddy lost in the quarter-finals of the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament here.

Defending champion and fifth seed Prannoy on Friday night lost to Chinese second seed Shi Yuqi 19-21, 11-21 in 39 minutes.

Pranaav-Sikki suffered a 19-21, 17-21 defeat in 38 minutes to Chinese fifth seed pair of Zhang Nan and Li Yunhui.

With these two defeats, India's campaign at this Swiss city ended.
