National Institute for Transforming (NITI) Aayog member Bibek Debroy on Tuesday called for coordinated efforts of the central and state governments to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs).

A press release said that two-day national consultation, particularly focusing on health and education goals, has been organised in coordination of NITI Ayog and UN in It will conclude on Wednesday.

Secretary (West) in external affairs ministry, Sujata Mehta said that in adoption of sustainable development goals, India safeguarded the interest of the developing countries by ensuring that they have access to technology.

India's Chief Statistician T.C.A. Anant said that SDGs were also reflective of India's aspirations.
