Climber falls to death near Rome

Rome, Dec 5 (IANS/AKI) A 62-year-old climber died after falling 20 metres from a rock face in Allumiere in the province of Rome.

The man was airlifted to Rome's Policlinico Gemelli hospital where he died on Sunday from the severe injuries sustained in the fall, doctors said.

Some reports said the man was free climbing.
