Accepting a complaint against rebel AAP leader and Timarpur constituency legislator Pankaj Pushkar, Delhi Assembly speaker Ram Niwas Goel on Wednesday referred the matter to the privileges committee of the House.
Nitin Tyagi, the Laxmi Nagar legislator, moved a motion of breach of privilege against Pushkar who has filed a police complaint against Tyagi alleging threat to his life.
In his notice to the Speaker, Tyagi said the "politically motivated" charges against him had left him "traumatised".
"I have not threatened him. Whatever he is alleging are baseless and politically motivated. I am feeling distressed and traumatised over the whole episode. Even my children have to face questions in school," Tyagi said.
Pushkar, who was not allowed to speak in the assembly, refuted the charges.
In his complaint, lodged at the Civil Lines police station on November 27, Pushkar had alleged that he received threats to his life from Tyagi inside and outside the House as he spoke against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at various public forums.
