Criminal with Rs 50,000 reward held
A 29-year-old criminal carrying a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his head has been arrested here, police said on Thursday.
A pistol, five cartridges and a stolen motorcycle were seized from Sunil Raj, 29, of Delhi after his arrest from Sangam Vihar in south Delhi on Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ishwar Singh said.
A trap was laid for Sunil Raj near Bandh Road in Sangam Vihar, but he fled on his two-wheeler and also fired shots at the police, police said.
He was chased and subsequently overpowered, the DCP added.
