Deposit money to refund buyers opted out of Unitech plan: SC to Greater Noida authority

The on Monday asked Greater authority to deposit Rs 66.82 crore, received from realty Unitech Limited, with apex court's registry to refund those plots buyers who have opted out of its housing schemes in the area.

A bench of Dipak Misra, Justice and Justice asked the assisting the court as an amicus curiae, to verify the names and other details of the plot applicants who wanted a refund.

It also said the aggrieved persons, who had booked plots in the Uniworld City-Uni Homes Plots Sector-MU at Greater project in Uttar Pradesh, could approach the consumer court for redressing their grievances.

The court was hearing a batch of petitions including the one filed by and the plot buyers' association.

The court posted the matter for hearing on September 18.
