Five killed in Pakistan bombing

At least five people, including three children, were killed and over 20 others injured Sunday when an explosion rocked a paramilitary convoy in Pakistan's northwest Peshawar city, a media report said.
The bombing took place around 12.30 p.m. when the convoy was passing by Badaber area of Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Xinhua cited Urdu TV channel ARY as saying.
Bomb squad officers said it was a remote-controlled device and an estimated 50 kg of explosive material were fixed onto a car parked by the roadside.
The injured included personnel of the Frontier Constabulary and policemen.
No group claimed responsibility for the blast.
