France tie with Georgia

France forced hosts Georgia to a scoreless tie in their World Cup Group I qualifier and the tie earned the French second place in the group, with Spain still in the lead.

When France hosted Georgia in March this year, the French had won 3-1. After Friday's sixth rounder, Spain leads the five-team group with 14 points and France comes second in 11, followed by Finland, Georgia and Belarus, reports Xinhua.

Georgia will host Finland here Tuesday for another FIFA World Cup Group I qualifier.
