French midfielder Maxime Gonalons passed the medical tests on Monday ahead of joining Roma.
The 29-year-old Gonalons, who arrived in Italy on Sunday, passed the medical tests this morning and is set to sign the contract in a few hours, the Serie A side said on its website, reports Efe.
Spanish side Sevilla won the UEFA Europa League three times in a row from 2013/2014 to 2015/2016.
Roma finished the last campaign in second place, four points adrift from Juventus, Serie A champion for the sixth time in a row.
