Goel to visit Punjab on Wednesday

Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel will attend a number of functions at Patiala and Rajpura during a day long trip to Punjab on Wednesday.

Goel will kickstart his trip by unveiling a bust of the late Major Jyotin Singh at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NIS) Patiala before visiting the Sports Science Centre there.

He will inaugurate a special certificate course in sports coaching for sportspersons hailing from Jammu and Kashmir.

The Minister will also flag off a symbolic race as part of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Rashtriya Ekta Saptah on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

 

In the evening, Goel will address a public meeting at Rajpura.
