AAP spokesperson Dilip Pandey told the media here that a senior officer in the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) wrote to the civic body's commissioner asking to register an FIR against BJP leader Aggarwal "for interfering in the evaluation of technical bidding to help a company".
"Nothing in this country is an apt synonym to the word scam as the Bhartiya Janta Party," Pandey said.
"We have this clinching evidence and her dismissal is the only way for the BJP to save itself."
Pandey read out parts of the letter, in which the officer alleged that the mayor entered his room while the tender was in the middle of evaluation process, and later some of the employees of that company (one of the bidders) went to the mayor's room.
"The intervention in the evaluation process of tender was improper, illegal, irregular and unjustified," he said, quoting the letter.
"Is the letter not sufficient for the BJP to dismiss her and initiate a CBI inquiry? The BJP should take cognizance and initiate the inquiry so that the truth comes out."
