The week ended on a sunny and hot note as Sunday's maximum temperature settled at 36.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average. The Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy Monday.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy through the day tomorrow (Monday)," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Sunday morning was sunny as well and the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 71 percent.
Saturday's maximum temperature was recorded one notch above the season's average at 34.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 26.2 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
