Hot Thursday in Delhi, partly cloudy Friday expected

It was a hot Thursday in Delhi, with the maximum temperature settling at 41.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the Met Office said.

The mercury may rise by one degree on Friday, though there would be partly cloudy sky, according to the weatherman.

"Partly cloudy sky is likely on Friday," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, adding that the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 42 and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded 28.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the humidity oscillated between a high of 51 and a low of 28 per cent.

 

Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 41 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded 26.6 degrees Celsius, average for the season.
