Israel to test high-altitude missile interceptor

IANS Jerusalem

The Arrow III is expected to be able to hit non-conventional, nuclear weapon-tipped rockets, Xinhua quoted an official of the defence ministry as saying.

The latest missile interceptor is the high-altitude end of a triad of Israel's multi-tier active air defences. The other two are Iron Dome, used against threats up to 70 km, and David's Sling, designed to intercept projectiles up to 250 km away.
