Known to be a Haryanvi sensation, singer and rapper Fazilpuria of "Chull" fame, says the agitation that took place over reservation under the OBC category in government jobs and educational institutions by the Jat protesters, could have happened in a "peaceful manner".

"My view is that it's a fight for rights, but it should have been with the government. The public was very disturbed because of the riots and this should not have happened. This (protest) could have happened in a peaceful manner," Fazilpuria told IANS over phone.

Popular for crooning hit tracks like "2 many girls" and "Party", Fazilpuria, whose real name is Rahul Yadav and who is based out of a village named Fazilpur near Gurgaon, Haryana, believes it was some "notorious elements" that caused the agitation.

"People should get what they deserve -- whether it is in Haryana, Rajasthan or Gujarat... Somewhere, the government is also at fault and also from this side (the Jats), some notorious elements have made mistakes that have caused negativity... I feel everyone should get their right, but the way for asking was wrong," he added.

The Haryanvi rapper added that "burning houses or shops" was "wrong".
