Kanshi Ram was great social reformer: Rahul

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday paid rich tributes to Dalit leader Kanshi Ram on his birth anniversary, terming him a great social reformer and one who left an indelible mark on Indian politics.

"Honourable Kanshi Ram was a great social reformer. His tireless efforts to connect the suppressed communities with politics and change left an indelible impression on Indian politics. I bow to him on his birth anniversary," Gandhi said in a tweet.

Bahujan Samaj Party founder Kanshi Ram was born on March 15, 1934 at Khawaspur village in Ropar district of Punjab.
