Kartik becomes youngest Indian to win junior world title

Budding has acquired the top position in the under-8 category at the Kids' World Championship organised by US kids in

Kartik, a member of the junior programme at the DLF Academy has thus become the youngest Indian to win a junior world title.

Kartik, who hones his skills at the under the guidance of Raju James Joseph, was first spotted by golf coaches in Kochi three years ago when he accompanied his father on one of his weekend golf games.

Speaking on Kartik's feat, Karan Bindra, Director of Instruction, said: "It is indeed heartening to see Kartik do well and we are extremely proud of his achievement. We wish him continued success."

The DLF Golf Academy, opened in 1999, is the first professional golf school in the country.
