The city experienced partly cloudy skies and light rains Tuesday as the maximum temperature settled at 33.5 degrees Celsius - average for this time of the season. The Met office has forecast more showers Wednesday.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi recorded 0.4 mm of rainfall from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy tomorrow (Wednesday) and some parts of the city will get rain and thundershowers," said the IMD official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
Tuesday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled at 26.8 degrees Celsius or average for this time of the season.
The day's maximum humidity settled at 85 percent.
Monday's maximum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 35.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded a notch above the average at 27.8 degrees Celsius.
