Magnitude-6.8 quake hits Mexico

A strong earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale hit Mexico Thursday. There was no immediate report of any casualty or damage to property, Xinhua reported.

The quake jolted area near Tecpan de Galeana municipality in Guerrero state, about 300 km from capital city of Mexico City, the US Geological Survey said.
