A 33-year-old man was on Friday shot dead on one of the busiest roads in Gurugram. The assailants escaped, police said.
The deceased was identified as Surender Rana, a resident of Shanti Nagar area. Police said Rana was seated in his Tata SUV on Jharsa Road.
"Three unknown men arrived in a Santro car and started arguing with Rana. After heated arguments, Rana came out of SUV and was shot five times after a brief scuffle," a senior police officer told IANS.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
"Rana was associated with a local television news channel in the past for a short period but his services were terminated," the officer said.
