Indian car maker Maruti Suzuki on Friday launched a refreshed version of its MPV Ertiga with improved mileage, safety and entertainment system on Friday.
"With SHVS technology, Ertiga Diesel is the first smart hybrid MPV in India, delivering best in class fuel efficiency of 24.52 km per litre," said Maruti Suzuki's executive director, marketing and sales, R.S. Kalsi in a statement.
Safety enhancements included dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt with pretensioners and force limiters on the base trim, the statement added.
Base variants of Ertiga will also feature dual airbags and ABS.
Maruti Suzuki sold over 2.25 lakh Ertigas in the domestic market enjoying a 20 percent MPV market share, the statement added.
Ertiga is available in petrol, diesel and CNG options, at prices ranging between Rs.5,99,907 to Rs.9,25,358 (ex-Showroom Delhi) in various versions.
