Messi blessed with a second son

FC Barcelona's Argentine striker Lionel Messi has become a father for the second time after his girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo gave birth on Friday morning to a boy.

"Well folks Mateo has been born and he is beautiful. I will give more details later. Now let's enjoy. Thank you all!!!" Messi's brother Matias wrote on his Twitter account, reports Efe.

The 28-year-old soccer player did not attend Friday's training session but is expected to play against Atletico Madrid on Saturday in La Liga's third round.

Messi's first son Tiago was born on November 2, 2012.
