Mother, son die in fire in Madhya Pradesh

A mother and her son were killed on Sunday when the burning roof of their house collapsed on them in Madhya Pradesh's Hoshangabad district, police said.

A senior police official said the two victims, Sunita Bai and Himanshu, were alone in the house at the time of the incident while the rest of the family were out attending a wedding.

"By the time people broke down the door of the house, the roof had already collapsed on the victims and their bodies were charred," the official said.
