Oil tanker hijacked in Malaysia

An oil tanker was hijacked shortly after it left a Malaysian port, authorities said on Wednesday.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency said it received a report about the missing tanker MT Vier Harmoni on Tuesday afternoon and launched search operations on Wednesday, Xinhua news agency reported.
The tanker, enroute to Batam Island of Indonesia, went missing after leaving a Malaysian port in Johor state, the agency said.
The tanker carried 9,00,000 litres of diesel worth $3,90,000.
