Pele launches book

Football legend Pele has launched a luxury limited edition book on his career.

The book, entitled '1283' after the number of goals scored by Pele, weighs 15 kg and costs $1,700. It contains 500 pictures and 1,283 texts and only 1,283 copies are being printed, reports Xinhua.

Pele, 72, burst on the scene in 1958 as a 17-year-old to help fire Brazil to their first World Cup.

The book will have an Oct 29 launch in London, with later dates to be set for New York and Dubai.
