PM, Sonia condole death of former Karnataka CM Dharam Singh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday condoled the death of former Karnataka Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh.

Modi, in a message, said that Dharam Singh had rich experience in Karnataka and national politics and his dedicated service towards society will be remembered.

"Saddened by the demise of former Karnataka CM Shri N. Dharam Singh. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this sad hour," he said.

Sonia Gandhi said Dharam Singh held a special place in the hearts and minds of the people due to his grit, determination and hard work.

"He will always be remembered for his work and commitment in a career spanning five decades," she said.

 

Sonia Gandhi also conveyed her condolences to the wife and family of Dharam Singh and hoped that his legacy and goodwill shall always remain a beacon of light.

Dharam Singh passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru on Thursday. He was 80.
