Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi Sunday met children and families affected by the devastating Uttarakhand flash floods last year, a party statement said.
"He (Gandhi) assured them that his party is committed to taking all necessary measures to bring relief to those affected by the devastating natural disaster," the statement said.
The families were invited to Delhi to witness the Republic Day parade.
Unprecedented flash floods and landslides hit Uttarakhand in June 2013, wreaking havoc and leaving thousands of residents and tourists dead.
