Rebecca Hall doesn't own a TV

Actress Rebecca Hall says she favours more old-fashioned ways of keeping in touch with the world than watching TV, and so she doesn't own a TV set.

"I don't actually have a television. I still do read newspapers, like old-fashioned people," Hall told nypost.com.

Meanwhile, Hall recently shared that she was originally supposed to play a much more substantial role in "Iron Man 3".

It had previously been suggested that Hall had been cast as a villain opposite actor Robert Downey Jr, but her role was reduced once filming started.

"I signed on to do something that was a substantial role. She wasn't entirely the villain - there have been several phases of this - but I signed on to do something very different to what I ended up doing," Hall said.

"Halfway through shooting, they were basically like, 'What would you think if you just got shot out of nowhere?' I was meant to be in the movie until the end... I grappled with them for awhile and then I said, 'Well, you have to give me a decent death scene and you have to give me one more scene with Iron Man,' which Robert Downey Jr. supported me on," she added.
