Shelling by Pakistan Rangers in J&K's Samba district: Police

Pakistan Rangers on Sunday indulged in indiscriminate shelling and firing to target over a dozen villages and Border Security Force outposts along the international border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

"Pakistan Rangers are using mortar shells and heavy weapons to target over a dozen villages and BSF outposts along the border in Samba district," a senior police officer told IANS.

"The targeted outposts include Khoada, Mangu Chak, Ragal, Challyarian, SP 4 and Malu Chak in Ramgarh sector. The BSF gave an effective response and heavy shelling and firing was still on," he said.
